A New Reader in the Family

T can read! She is quite excited that she can now sit and read a book like the rest of us. It was really fun to see the look on her face when she finally sounded out C-A-T and discovered it was cat. She can sound out all kinds of words and we are working on learning some sight words. She thinks using G's sight word flash cards from last year is the coolest thing. She keeps them in her car seat and reads through them every time we are in the car.

Our "Fabulously Busy" Weekend

Aunt K came down from STL on Friday for E's birthday party. She and I got to go to a movie before the chaos of the weekend began.

G tried out for the Missoula Children's theatre project The Princess and the Pea and got a part as a Dust Bunny. She had rehearsals all week and dress rehearsal on Saturday morning. We all went to the 2:30 performance to watch our Dusty Bunny sing and dance.

While we were at the show the snow began to fall and we had a good inch or so to play in. W and Aunt K took E and T home to play in the snow and get ready for E's Blue and Gold Banquet.
While they built a snowman G and I ate dinner and headed back to the theatre for the

7pm show.

The rest of the crew headed to the banquet to watch E receive his Bear award and win first prize for his hot dog cake.

We woke up in the morning to 6-8 inches of snow!

But the roads cleared up in time to have E's birthday party at the bowling alley.
