E's First Communion

This is a bit late but better late then never. We had a busy weekend- Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Friday night to celebrate E's First Communion with us on Saturday. We also took a stroll down Beale street, rode the trolley, shared BBQ at Rendezvous, and visited the Peabody ducks. Not to mention celebrating Grandma's birthday (a day early) on Sunday. Whew!

Karate Tournament

Yesterday was E's first karate tournament. He did pretty well for his first time out getting second in forms and third in sparring. He takes karate and USA Karate and this tournament was against other USA Karate schools in the area. We will find out monday how our school did against the others. I know 2 of E's friends got 1st in forms (for their age groups) and 2nd and third in sparring.

April Fools

Spaghetti and Meatballs- for breakfast.

The recipe- Make rice krispie treats using cocoa krispies and form into meatballs. Place two slices of pound cake on a plate, pipe butter cream icing is strands around the edges of the cake. Tops with strawberry topping and serve with meatballs!

Updates

It has been a while! The kids went to the coast with dad for spring break. They had a great time with grandma and grandpa playing in the woods, enjoying their new playhouse and fishing. I stayed home and STUDIED, had some friend over for dinner one night and had a garage sale.

They got back the day before Easter so we made resurrection buns to enjoy on Easter morning, had our egg hunt and went to church. T only found one egg in the church egg hunt (I think she was looking for ones with her name on them, that is how we did it at preschool) but E won a prize- so he gave it to T.
